• Black Core / White Core / Blue Core 280-310 gsm paper

• German / Japanese Black Core 310 gsm photo – A black carbon layer is sandwiched inside. It blocks light, so you can’t see through the card (prevents cheating). This is the premium option for poker, bridge, and casino cards.

• White Core – No carbon layer, just paper. These are lower-cost cards, slightly translucent if held against strong light.

• Blue Core – A thin blue layer in the middle. More durable and opaque than white core, but not as high-end as black core.
